With a love for the local scene and people, Marcus Bagwell has always been a person who gives the latest weather information to people. Marcus is a TV Meteorologist & Traffic Anchor for WKRN in Nashville, TN. As a child, Marcus would stay up late into the night to watch severe weather coverage of his hometown market even when storms had already passed his house. This love for weather became a reality when Severe Weather of April 16, 1998 ripped through Middle Tennessee. Seeing the TV Meteorologists in action confirmed his desire to do what they did that day-keep the public aware of the latest weather information. Marcus graduated in May 2013 with a degree in Meteorology and Broadcasting, being only the 2nd African-American graduate of the Meteorology Program at Western Kentucky University. He was blessed with a great opportunity to be a Weather Intern at WTVF-CBS in the Summer 2012. Experience went from minimal to maximum as he continued to sharpened his weather skills at the weather-wall. His previous work was at KETK-NBC & KFXK-FOX in Tyler TX as a Meteorologist from 2013 through end of Spring 2022.
