About Marcus Colby

With over a decade of experience at the intersection of elite sports, technology, and research, I bring deep expertise in product management and sports science. Currently at Teamworks, I contribute to product development across our performance suite, including the Teamworks Athlete Management Systems (AMS), Nutrition, and Strength & Conditioning tools. I work closely with coaches, athletes, and our Intelligence (data science) team to deliver intuitive, insight-driven tools that support high-performance environments across global sport and tactical environments. Previously, I was a Senior Consultant at Fusion Sport/Smartabase, where I partnered with high-performing organizations across the NBA, NHL, AFL, U.S. and Australian Military, and led innovation initiatives in performance data and technology. Prior to that, I spent over five years as a sports scientist with the West Coast Eagles (AFL), where I also completed a PhD in injury risk modeling. I bring a mix of research depth, practical experience, and product leadership, with a passion for building tools that make performance teams more connected, effective, and athlete-centered.
