Background

About Marcus Daff

I operate as a contract Finance consultant, working with a handful of clients who need executive level support in their Finance team. Social enterprises and family owned businesses feature heavily in my recent background, but strategy and effective reporting have been a recurring theme regardless of the sector. I worked in PNG for 2 years as CFO of the country's largest leadership training institution, leading the for-profit arm of the organisation through its biggest change of strategic direction in 50 years. I spent many years working with Nelson-based SMEs as an advisor and virtual CFO in tasks as varied as strategy development, restructuring and tax compliance. Colleagues and clients know me as a trustworthy, ambitious and adaptable person, who is not afraid to take difficult decisions and can move between the big picture and detail as required. I get a buzz out of helping others develop their finance skills. I have a degree from Loughborough University in the UK and am a chartered accountant.
