As a Sales Operations leader, I help innovation-based organizations by providing insight to develop business strategy, optimizing their sales process, and leading cross-functional teams. I started developing my skills while coordinating capital equipment sales at VWR International (now part of Avantor), where I learned how to speak the languages of logistics, finance, and regulatory affairs to ensure efficient, timely deliveries cross-border and cross-country. Progressing through inside and outside sales roles, I took charge in completing complex sales projects by expanding my cross-functional collaboration with departments in our supplier companies, reconciling multiple interests to achieve shared sales victories and company recognition. At Gilson, I took these skills to the next level as Canadian Country Manager, aligning emerging market opportunities with demand planning and budget forecasting, and successfully managing a custom product order for critical CoVID-19 testing involving overseas production operating under lockdown conditions. Working with Product Marketing, we brainstormed to adapt global product launches to the Canadian market and drive the introduction of the Canadian web site, both to immediate positive impact. Working with IT, we collaborated to reorganize the Magento lead management system and the Salesforce CRM to more effectively categorize and channel customer demand, and develop dashboards and reporting that more accurately reflected critical Key Performance Indicators and led to more focused marketing efforts and desired sales outcomes. Throughout this time, I acted as face of the organization to both customers and channel partners, energetically reinforcing the branding of an engaged, innovative and customer-centric company. I’m currently at Anton Parr Canada Inc, developing new markets while supporting existing customers with their innovative and reliable measurement technologies. I'm learning how to use Power BI to do predictive analysis in sales forecasting and demand planning as well as working towards a Salesforce Administrator designation. My pet project is the use of AI in more effective sales training, which combines my commitment to education and continuous improvement with my innate love of selling, mentoring, and being of service.
