About Marcus Geiger

Passionate about Ecological Economics, I thrive in integrating sustainability into every facet of my professional, academic, and personal life. Armed with a solid theoretical foundation from my Master's Degree in "Resource Economics and Sustainable Development" at the University of Bologna, I am committed to driving positive change. My enthusiasm extends to the realm of Data Science, where I continuously hone my skills through diverse courses and private exploration. This commitment stems from a desire to confront the significant technological and societal challenges on the horizon. I bring a wealth of practical experience gained from diverse roles in research, analysis, event organization, and activism. Working and volunteering with NGOs, student networks, and the environmental protection department for the city of Vienna, I uncovered the intricate connections between ecology and urban economies. Collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, I facilitated sustainability on a broad societal scale. My years as a tennis coach not only expanded my social network but also honed my soft skills, fostering a hands-on approach in a physically demanding environment. This unique blend of experiences positions me as a versatile professional. I view myself as a hardworking, flexible, and ambitious individual, driven by a profound passion to contribute to our environment. Committed to upholding the values of an equal, social, and caring society, I am eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals to make a meaningful impact.
