About Marcus Gomes

I am a trilingual, experienced data analyst, with over a decade of customer service and corporate experience. I'm looking to grow within the vast landscape of technology with aspirations of entering the software development and engineering field in the future. Here is how I got here. I remember as if it happened a few hours ago on a warm summer night in a small town near Recife, Brazil. I can still feel the tropical breeze blowing past my face as I was an anxiously waiting for my aunt's arrival by our front yard. She was bringing me a gift from America. But not just any gift, like the type you pick up at airports with a touristy, fill in the blank city slogan. This was special, it was my very first piece of technology. My first video game console! a shiny black Sega Genesis with a copy of Sonic the hedgehog! It was like Christmas in July! A catalyst that instilled a deep passion for technology. Fast forward 20 years and I am a huge tech nerd, from gaming to tinkering with arduino, raspberry pi, drones and 3D printers. I am energized by new technologies and have a deep desire to learn, experience, and create more of it. More recently, curiosity has driven me into programing and the infinite possibilities it can bring. Metaverse, virtual reality, artificial intelligence. Truly, what a time to be alive!
