About Marcus Kuring

I’m a board-certified anesthesiologist with a strong passion for emergency medicine—both pre-hospital and in-hospital. In the OR I plan and deliver anesthesia, manage the airway, analgesia and hemodynamics, and ensure clean handovers to PACU/ICU. On the ICU I manage complex cases including renal replacement therapy and ECMO (VV). As Chief Emergency Physician for MCI (LNA) I lead the medical response in dynamic incidents: situational awareness, triage/MCI, and the organization of treatment and transport, working closely with OrgL (EMS operations lead), the control center/dispatch, and fire/police partners. I have volunteered in disaster medicine for many years—from large-scale exercises to event medicine. I use digital tools (PDMS/ORBIS) selectively, where they measurably help teams. 5 Highlights • OR anesthesia & perioperative care: anesthesia delivery, airway management (RSI/videolaryngoscopy), structured handovers to PACU/ICU • Intensive care: management of critically ill patients incl. CRRT & ECMO (VV); hemodynamics, ventilation & weaning • LNA incident leadership: situational awareness, triage/MCI, treatment & transport coordination; interfaces with OrgL/dispatch/fire & police • Disaster medicine & volunteering: long-standing experience at large exercises and mass events; standardized after-action reviews (AAR) • Teaching & training: training authorization in emergency medicine; ACLS & simulation (CRM)
