About Marcus McGee

I am a well-rounded healthcare professional with more than 30 years’ experience. My goal as a professional nurse is to always be a staunch patient advocate; I wish to not only heal the health of my patient, but to also contribute positive change in the community. As an Advanced Practice Nurse in the field of Health Informatics, I have mastered the concepts of interoperability and why it is important as we move nursing forward into the 21st century. Health Information Systems can and will make the difference of life or death in the future simply by allowing computers to rapidly exchange information so humans can process it understandable manner. My experiences have showed me that clinical issues are basically the same no matter where the practice setting may be. Our ability to leverage information and let technology be an asset as opposed to a hindrance will be my goal as I move forward with healthcare in the 21st century. This will allow me to heal the health of not just a single patient, but the health of our nation.
