About Marcus McKenzie

I have held senior management positions in the food-processing industry in both Sydney and Melbourne for more than 30 years, before embarking on a consultancy business from 2013-2018 where I assisted Australian corporations seeking to set up operations in the Philippines by being the liaison between the relevant national government departments and local government officials. In 2020, through the support of the community was honored to be elected as a Councilor of Wellington Shire and hopefully make a difference to the wonderful residents of this Shire. In 2018, I became an authorized mentor for small business through the not-for-profit organization, the Small Business Mentoring Service and in 2022 was elected as a non-executive Board member. With my wife Cherrie we currently operate a successful short term accommodation in the historic surrounds of Gowrie House named Gowrie Guest House & Hampton Cottage. I have been a member of Rotary since 2019 and current President as well as being on the Tarra Festival Committee.
