I'm currently working at the nexus of biodiversity and climate, bridging the gap between research and action through outreach and communications. I too, am primed to uphold and defend Singapore's hawker culture, heritage, industry, trade and enterprise. It is a cause personal to me, as a local boy who continues to grow up on the comforts and charms of coffeeshops and hawker/food centres. I am also concerned with greenwashing. It should be against the law to practice greenwashing and its offshoots, for they tarnish the utility of sustainability, and when undetected or unpunished, detract from the imperative of real change that is necessary to move the needle. My investment in environmental conservation aligns with my other interests ~ Wildlife, Fashion, Beyond Growth, social sciences & the humanities, Behavioural insights and Criminal justice.
