I am a highly motivated, organised, and hardworking sales/pre-sale professional with 31 years’ experience in the IT software industry, working within the Public Sector. The first 20 years of my career was focused on local government software solutions, and since then I have been involved in the public safety sector. Working in a variety of roles, I have experienced all aspects within the product lifecycle, being involved with solution design, pre-sales, sales, implementation, and customer management. I have successfully delivered more than 100 software implementations to public sector customers, ranging from add-on modules to full system implementations where I have personally delivered all aspects including installation, project management and training. During my time in the software industry, I have built considerable experience with a variety of applications and platforms, including Windows Server, Windows Desktop Clients, Mac OS, IOS, Android, Microsoft Office, MapInfo, Esri, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Interbase, Jira and Confluence. My early public sector experience focused on land and property-based solutions for local authorities and in the last 11 years I have focused on CRM, Police Records Management, Digital Evidence Management, Integrated Command Control Solutions and Emergency Services Control Room Solutions. I have experience with both domestic and international opportunities. I specialise in building trusting relationships with customers, and have spent a large period of my career to date involved in pre-sales activities. I confidently present and demonstrate software solutions, and show a thorough understanding and sensitivity to a customer’s requirements, highlighting the benefits and value that a product can provide. I have significant experience in completing and managing responses to tender submissions, PQQs, and proposals together with the curation of supporting documentation such as solution overviews and executive summaries. In my current role as Head of Sales and Marketing, I manage a team across the sales, pre-sales and bid management functions.
