About Marcus Tomlin

Have lived in AK since 1979. My dad was USAF and retired here. I was an USAF brat, and wanted my kids to grow up in one place. Joined the FAA in 1989, was at MRI from 89-92, then went to ANC. I was at ANC from 12/92 until 6/12. I tried A11 (radar room), but after 23+ years as a "Tower flower"​ realized green dots are all the same and returned to ANC in June 2013. I have served every position on the ANC/MRI EBoards (including Elected Facility Representative for over 17 years), and was the NATCA Alaska National Legislative representative for over four years, serving 3 Regional Vice-Presidents. I retired as a NATCA Platinum member. NATCA has been awesome to me and my family. I actually enjoy public speaking and presenting. I have a lot of experience developing presentations using PowerPoint. My artistic side looks for balance and form and my attention to detail side won't rest until everything is "right"​. I served on the Board of Directors of Nunaka Valley Little League for over 4 years, and served as "Team Dad"​ numerous times and have volunteered for so many roles that I can't even begin to list them. Each role was a great learning experience and I love to learn. I have coached every sport, including indoor soccer. If I accept you as my employer, you will get my full 100% buy-in. Thankfully, I am at the point of life where "I WANT to work, not HAVE to work". I could sell my house, and use that and the TSP (my retirement plan) forever. I also like Canada. Like Alaskans, Canadians are very nice people. Never ever had a bad experience in Western Canada.
