About Marcus Watson

What brings us together as humans is the ability to communicate ideas, share experiences and inspire each other to bring about positive change. Like many people I got swept along the path that is often mapped out for us until unexpectedly I found myself leading the campaign for LGBT+ immigration and asylum rights and I realised that starting over gives you a fresh perspective. By communicating an unpopular cause in a humane way I helped stop 100’s of loving couples from being torn apart and persuaded the government to recognise same-sex relationships in law for the first time. However in an ever more crowded digital space, where we’re daily confronted with a barrage of biased information and images it has become increasingly difficult to somehow decrypt our next meaningful action. But over 30 years experience of working in the digital and charity sector and campaigning for social justice, which led me to living in Africa, Asia and South America, provided me with a vital perspectives of human nature. Regardless of the paths I’ve followed or the peaks I’ve climbed, I’ve always wanted to share my learnings to make the digital experience that much more impactful and worthwhile. It’s more than raising awareness, but rather amplifying a message to inspire action.
