About Marcus Wilson

I am passionate about servant leadership and team building, and I envision my graduate school experience helping me translate my passions to the business world. My experiences include working as a as the Finance and Operations Intern for the Northeast Georgia Business Alliance in Athens, Georgia. Also, I was bagger at Ingles in Athens, Georgia during the summer of 2019, which helped me gain valuable customer service experience. Additionally, I worked as a Cashier and Dairy Stocker during the holidays of 2020 at Ingles Markets in Athens, Georgia. Lastly, I volunteerd in multiple community services in my undergraduate school community of Franklin Springs, Georgia and my home church community of Colbert, Georgia. During these experiences, I worked with a large group of people in which we served food to people. These opportunities helped build my leadership skills, my ability to team build, and my passion to serve others. Furthermore, I have been volunteering in my church as a member of our church treasury for over ten years in which assisted in filing documents, accounting for paying our musicians, pastor, and church auxilliary departments. In addition to the foundational accounting experience, I learned the value of motivation, empowerment, and encouragement. Lastly, I played basketball all four years of college, and I was promoted to the varsity team for my senior year. My skills include taking customer calls, customer service, using Qualtrics, Canva, HubSpot, Microsoft Word and Excel, offering strategies or ideas for organizational growth and development, and motivating and giving insight to people on task completion, skill development and goal-setting.
