About Marcy Rye

Marcy is the founder of Wire Media and has led branding, design, and technology projects for clients including the Humane Society, Lung Cancer Foundation of America, Environmental Defense Fund, Women’s World Banking, Stanford University, UC Santa Barbara, and political campaigns in the US, Africa, and the Caribbean. She is passionate about building accessible websites that deliver as much value as possible to enable her (mostly nonprofit) clients to focus more on their mission.Prior to Wire Media, she did branding and design for the Smithsonian, The World of Coca-Cola Museum, the Women in Military Service Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery, and AARP. She was a co-founder of T-REX Creative, a movie marketing agency in Hollywood, and sold her share of T-REX in 2015. Marcy is a speaker and author on topics including web accessibility, UX design, visual design, and branding. And she has held seats on several nonprofit boards including the Los Angeles Country Fire Foundation and the Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation.She has a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master of Fine Arts in design and technology from Parsons the New School for Design. She lives in Marina del Rey, CA where she can often be found racing sailboats in the Pacific Ocean.
