About Maree Forbes

I love being a part of a team and making things run optimally. I’m good at clarifying, organising, fixing, risk management and money management. I have a heart for transformation and love working in Amotai, working with our fantastic buyer members and incredible and innovative supplier members; Māori and Pasifika businesses, to create a more inclusive, and more sustainable, NZ economy. A career in Operations, Programme and Project Management, working with fabulous people in great organisations in Aotearoa, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Experience working in a broad range of industries including; government (social innovation, transport, education, housing, health), emergency management, retail, corporate (banking and property) and design, with some start up and online experience. I whakapapa to Northern England on my māmā's side and Te Āti Awa me Ngāti Toa, Ngāti Raukawa on my papa’s side. I'm also a creative, with early experience in the design industry and a Bachelor Design. And I loved the team work, people and kai, while working in Hospitality for ten years earlier in my career, locally and in the UK.
