About Maree Thornton

I've had over 20 years in the computer industry (I started when I was five) and like life, nothing in this industry stays the same. One thing that is consistent for me though is the way I do business, putting the needs of my customer first. If we focus on their business, and how IT works for them (not how they work their IT) and make the appropriate changes, at the right times, and regularly review and plan, business enablement happens. It’s a win-win situation. The best part about my work is the diversity of industries I operate in, I’m not just in IT I’m in business, whether that be the likes of plumbing, fishing, building, transportation, medical or fashion. We might work in the engine room but we see how a well-oiled engine makes business happen. A wise person once said to me, if it’s not broken don’t fix it, if it’s not working change it, if you can’t change it, accept it, then work around it – in daily life I find that helpful. I’m self-motivated and I like helping people and making a difference in their lives, that’s what takes me to work every day – it’s got nothing to do with the four kids and a mortgage, and the fact that I like to buy plants. Yeah Right! I hope to see you around and make a difference together.
