About Marek Buckman

I’m a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where I majored in Classics and Music. Curious, creative, and insightful, I love to acquire deep expertise on just about any topic, especially the esoteric, the impactful, and the unusual. I’m skilled at using qualitative and quantitative research not just to become a subject matter expert, but also to understand key aspects of industries, societies, and cultures. As an Intern with Fluresh, I applied my love of history and research to help a new recreational cannabis company strategically enter a rapidly-developing industry. In a team, I like to invisibly impact the other members. I love being the reason that everything goes smoothly; just as a bassist in a jazz group ensures that the other members are able to perform. One of my all-time favorite quotes is, “You have to use a light touch. When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all.” (Futurama) I am looking for a position where I can leverage my intellectual curiosity, deep interest in just about any subject, as well as my research and data analysis skills, to help inform an organization’s decisions and strategic objectives.
