About Marek Herold
Marek joined WOOD & Co. as an investment manager in 2013 and participated in the acquisition processes of most of the assets in the real estate funds in Prague and Bratislava. In Marek was one of the founders of Genesis Capital, a private equity fund focused on the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2005, he joined the newly established private equity branch of PPF (the largest Czech private finance group), where he worked on mid-size and large transactions in the CEE region. As an investment manager, he was in charge of a number of projects in the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Romania. In 2011, he joined Perun Capital, a private equity fund registered in Vienna, and took part in a number of its turnaround projects in Hungary, Ukraine and Bulgaria. Marek holds BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Bedfordshire.
