About Marel Dugan

As a San Diego native, I am passionate about helping clients find their very own piece of America’s Finest City to call home. I am focused on educating and empowering my clients throughout the entire process of selling or buying a home. In 2023, I was awarded as the prestigious 30 Under 30 award by the San Diego Association of Realtors, in addition to being awarded Silver level status, placing me in the top 5% of all real estate agents in San Diego. I am a certified Military Relocation Specialist, with roughly half of my business being active duty and veteran clients here in San Diego. In 2021 I was also nominated as a Woman of Impact by the American Heart Association, coaching a team of 10 women to raise funds for local research and development. Leading by example for my clients I started my real estate portfolio at age 25 after purchasing a multi-family property in North Park. After owner occupying 1 unit for a year, I purchased my second property, a single family home in Del Cerro, at age 26. At age 27 I added the third property to my portfolio, a duplex in Hillcrest. I still personally manage all of my properties which now include 3 long-term rentals and 1 short-term furnished rental. In addition to my passion for real estate, I also love interior design. I have designed all of the remodels for my properties and do freelance projects for my clients. My team, Kappel Realty Group, has been awarded the highest award, Diamond Level team (top.05%), by the San Diego Association of Realtors since 2019 and is led by the SDAR 2020 Team Leader REALTOR® of the year, Patrick Kappel. We are in the top 1% of all real estate teams in the country (Real Trends & WSJ). Prior to becoming a Realtor, I worked in the fitness industry helping clients achieve their goals and coached competitive soccer. As a collegiate award winning athlete, over a decade in competitive sports and multiple bodybuilding competitions, I am no stranger to hard work and dedication and will turn that same drive into ensuring my clients get the house of their dreams.
