About Marg Malloch

Margaret Malloch, PhD, FRSA, is an Honorary Professor, Victoria University. She is a member of the Vocational Education and Training Network Board of the European Educational Research Association, the International Journal for Research in Vocational Education and Training and the Australian Council of Deans of Education Vocational Education Group. She is a past Chair of the AERA Workplace Learning Special Interest Group and a Coordinator of VETNET. Her research and publication interests are on work and learning, doctoral education, vocational education and training, women in education and systemic change. A current focus is on Capability and Learning. Margaret’s career spans secondary vocational education, regional education, technical and further education and university education. A strong commitment to post graduate research programs was evidenced by Margaret’s leadership of Research Training in Arts and Education at Victoria University and in doctoral programs at the University of East London. Community work includes serving as a local councillor, with a special interest in the environment and the arts. Margaret is interested in collaborative research projects and publications in workplace learning, vocational education and training, and doctoral education.
