I have 17 years of experience in the environmental remediation industry working on high-profile Superfund cleanups, primarily for US government and Department of Defense clients, including site investigation, remedial system design, remediation construction, system operation and optimization, source removal and waste management, infrastructure installation and repair, erosion control design and installation, sampling design and sample collection of all media, data evaluation, community relations, and environmental compliance monitoring and reporting under a variety of federal and state regulatory programs. For the last 7 years I have been in the role of Principal Engineer and Director of Engineering and Technical Services, responsible for making staffing decisions, establishing and managing training budgets, implementing process improvements and internal training, ensuring design and field quality, mentoring junior and mid-level staff, establishing and supporting career development plans, developing job descriptions, and making strategic decisions related to the growth of my team and the company. I currently lead a team of 25 (mostly remote) engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, chemists, and document editors, including both managers and individual contributors. I am a caring leader with the ability to work with many styles across departments, internally and externally, to optimize processes and accomplish business objectives. My management style is characterized by providing flexibility, driving accountability, and producing quality work that makes a positive impact on the planet. I am a results-oriented and efficient problem solver, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to bring quick closure to challenges.
