About Margaritis Tonidis
I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Purdue University, with a focus on structural engineering targeting graduation in August 2025. My current work place is the Robert L. and Terry L. Bowen Laboratory for Large Scale Structural Research in West Lafayette. My research centers on the nonlinear behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) structures, beam-column joint behavior, seismic assessment and strengthening of RC structures, behavior and modeling of anchorages in concrete, and bond between concrete and steel, particularly under fire conditions. I have led several research projects, ranging from small-scale experiments to full-scale structural testing, supported by detailed Finite Element and nonlinear spring modeling. With a comprehensive understanding of structural design, analysis, and modeling, I am actively seeking opportunities to apply my expertise to impactful projects in structural engineering.
