About Marge Luttrell
For the past 12 years I have been a traveling Art Fair and Festival artist. I have worked my way up from doing regional shows at first to now being able to get into the elite shows around the country. I work in Encaustic mixed media and I have always been fascinated with the way common threads are woven through the world greatest myths, especially in Ancient Greece, where hero’s, gods and goddesses held almost equal weight. Working with the medium of encaustic, wax becomes a figurative container for these myths and stories. By encasing these objects within this material, memories have the ability to persist and remain, revealing layers of time as their own brand of relic.
