About Maria Darling

Maria is a strength and conditioning coach demonstrating a history of work in the tactical, college athletics, and higher education settings. In addition to traditional coaching roles, Maria collaborated with BDE and BN leadership to design and organize the H2F-NCO-extender course for her assigned Army unit. Maria had a similar role at FHSU as a teaching assistant when tasked to build and teach both the in person and online basic weights and conditions classes for the Health and Human Performance department. She maintains her CSCS and BLS certifications with a previous background in EMS. Maria has a commitment to using evidence based training paired with performance driven data. Maria believes the strongest performance teams are those built on communication and collaboration. Establishing these relationships and allowing them to evolve is key to building truly integrated teams. Maria earned two Bachelor Degrees in 2018; Exercise Science and Psychology, and has since earned her Masters of Science in Health and Human Performance from FHSU. She is currently one course shy of completing the MBA program at Rockford University with a concentration in Leadership to be better prepared for lead and director roles in the future. She already is slotted for her final course in to start online in August and will conclude in October.
