About Maria E. Pagano

I am presently Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and a nationally recognized research scientist in health outcomes. As set forth in the attached CV, I hold a PhD in Human Development from Northwestern University and advanced degrees in Biostatistics and Psychology. I have exceptional statistical skills with quantitative and qualitative data collected in national surveys or experimental research designs. I have published 39 first-author and 86 co-authored publications in premier peer-reviewed journals, given 60 national presentations, and been the Principal Investigator of 6 grant awards amounting to $2,941,675. As Director of the Information Sciences Unit in the Department of Psychiatry at Brown University, I was Co-Investigator or Senior Statistician on more than 10 investigations among populations with health and mental health conditions. With more than 20 years of experience working in a contract-funded environment, I am familiar with the spectrum of project management activities, including monitoring contract timelines, reporting, and communicating with clients as appropriate. Most importantly, I have exceptional interpersonal skills in collaborating with other scientists and stakeholders, and in cultivating the talents and teamwork of those I supervise.
