About Maria Grant
After 10 years in indie bookstores and at universities as a philosophy student, I have entered the world of libraries. While finishing an M.A. in Library & Information Science at the University of Arizona, I worked as a Librarian in Youth Services at Prescott Public Library. I also took a certificate in Archival Studies. During my studies, I got the opportunity to do two archival internships, one at the Aviation Safety & Security Archives at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and I did my capstone internship at Sharlot Hall Museum’s Research Center Library & Archives. I later got the position of Archives Collections Coordinator at the Sharlot Hall Museum’s Research Center - Library & Archives. Currently, I work as the Circulation and Interlibrary Loan Coordinator at Prescott College Library, a position I greatly enjoy. I hire, schedule, and supervise the student workers and the daily circulation tasks, and manage our Interlibrary Loan services. I hope to continue my career in academic libraries.
