About Maria Orchard
I'm a research fellow with the Inclusive Public Space project. We are investigating the problems caused by unequal access to city streets in 10 cities around the world and the ways law and government respond to them. This issue is particularly important to disabled people, older people, children, parents and carers. Our aim is to raise public awareness and build solidarity, strengthen the rights of pedestrians, and make cities more inclusive. We’re currently looking for pedestrians in the United Kingdom (Leeds and Glasgow) and the United States (Atlanta and Syracuse) to share their experiences with us.
