About Maria Panter

My name is Maria Panter, and I am excited to join the teaching community as a recently licensed K-6 educator. As a teacher, my focus is on cultivating a love of learning and building the resilience necessary for long-term academic success. My teaching style utilizes positive behavior supports, routines and relationships to foster a positive classroom environment. I love connecting with diverse learners and helping them succeed. During my student teaching experience, I saw success emphasizing student-led learning strategies that got my students moving, talking and engaging with the curriculum in fun ways. For example, 89% of my students scored 100% on the Wonder’s vocabulary test after implementing kinesthetic learning techniques. I also saw a 2% increase in the GoMath assessment scores by incorporating more hands-on activities and tools. To engage non-compliant students in Phonics, I utilized positive behavior momentum and gamified-learning strategies that increased participation and perseverance. As a colleague, I am a team player with a positive attitude. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy paddle boarding, reading and watching anything that makes me laugh. I hope to be a force for good in my community by securing a permanent teaching position this fall. If you feel like we would be a good fit, then please reach out!
