About Maria Perillo
I am an Edtech Product Designer and computational linguist with extensive experience conceptualizing, creating, and updating e-learning products in several source languages, including the innovative ABA English Campus, ABA’s mobile applications and IESE Online Programs. Under the Language Lab research center I directed in ABA, I led the development of “English Skill”, the first artificial intelligent language skill in the world, for the Alexa virtual assistant, in a joint project with the Auto-Id Lab at the MIT. Beyond Edtech, I’m fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan, and Italian, and I’m a musician with a degree in classical piano. I’m currently learning the violin and play in a blues and rock band. Just like in a band, where everyone brings their unique sound to create something powerful, I believe in teamwork and collaboration in everything I do. Whether it's on stage or in my professional life, I know that the best outcomes come from playing as a team, adapting, and letting creativity flow. In 2022, I was recognized as a Top 10 L&D Awards Winner by Oncon.
