About Maria Persson

Experienced development professional who has designed, delivered and developed proposals for complex and intersectional donor funded programmes. I have worked with a number of development partners to deliver multi-stakeholder projects and programmes on behalf of clients including multinational and bilateral donors and the private sector. My key areas of competence are: • Project design and delivery • Team management and facilitation • Business development and growth • Drafting of reports, briefs, communication products etc. • Research I work primarily in the sectors of: economic development, governance and natural resource management. I have a master’s degree in economics and am able to work with ease in three languages (English, French and Swedish). I have been very commercially successful in winning new business for my employers through strategic business development from fact-finding, expressions of interest, bid writing and management.
