I have good interpersonal and communication skills and am able to deal with sensitive situations using my Emotional Intelligence. I am a confident team worker but also possess the ability to work on my own initiative. have excellent sense of humour and a pleasant approach. These attributes have helped me guide and support difficult students during the last 10 years within an educational setting. Often providing a “safe haven” for many dysfunctional families. My main priorities in this role have been to listen to the students, teachers and families bringing them together to create a positive outcome for everyone involved. I regularly attend” Common Assessment Framework” and “Team Around the Family” meetings both in and outside of school hours. I have been involved with safe guarding concerns and regularly call to visit families within their own home settings. I am competent with ICT systems which I use on a daily basis to keep records of attendance/behavior contracts. These may need to be used as evidence in court if contracts are not upheld.
