About Maria Tergis

I am a recent graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and English. I am passionate about literature of all genres. One of my novels is currently being published online, where it has gained nearly 1k views in a period of a few months, reaching the top ten in several categories. Over the past year I have been actively drafting and posting bimonthly updates, and have seen a fair amount of growth in readership, which I hope to sustain. Between November 2020 and November 2021, I have written nearly 300 pages for both this novel and my (currently) private novel, The Wildling. Prior to this, I have had the opportunity to work as a student research assistant, a Membership & Guest Relations Associate at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, and a part-time reader for Fordham University Admissions. When I am not writing or working I can be found busy with my hobbies. I absolutely love reading and have an avid interest in high fantasy novels (The Lord of the Rings, The Inheritance Cycle, The Way of Kings), anything Shakespearean, Greek mythology, and contemporary Japanese fiction, but I am just as enthusiastic about spending time outdoors, running or walking. Coming from a multicultural background, I also enjoy traveling and visiting family and friends around the globe.
