About Maria Wang
I recently finished my PhD at Hanken School of Economics. I am especially interested in topics related to environmental and international economics. My doctoral research deals with the impacts of the EU Emissions Trading System and environmentally related firm subsidies. While working on my PhD, I have also participated in different projects at Etla Economic Research and become a part of OP Financial Group's risk analysis team. My previous degree in East Asian Studies also helps me understand East Asian societies, which is especially useful now that China is an important economic power. I speak excellent Japanese and also many other languages.
