About Maria Watts

I'm working as a bilinual Paraprofessional since 2015, I have experience with SIOP Model, and Im for the last three years full focus in small reading groups support for ELL students. I worked as Spanish Teacher from 2011 to 2015 and I love it. I put my creative training as an architect to build my own curriculum focus in understanding the language. I use all kind of material for that, visual, oral, listening and a lot of games. I'm amazed of how fast the kids learn when they have fun. I am a licensed architect with considerable experience in public affairs. I have worked in various countries. I was organizational assistant to the mayor of the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia. Prior to this I was construction standards auditor for the state of Santander, Colombia. I worked as site accounting manager for Haden Inc at Ford Argentina. I was managing the membership, accounting, web site management and event organization for the Southfield Chamber of Commerce. Specialties: I am good at organizing, accounting, working with numbers, architectural design and speak, read and write fluent Spanish. Work with AutoCAD, AutoDesk.
