My career began in direct patient care in 2004, with the ability and training to work front office as well as the back office. Through this amazing experience, I began to realize that without completeness of a medical record, the direct patient care is hindered. I learned the importance of policies and procedures, and through obtaining my AAS in Health Information Management, I learned how to apply my strengths to develop meaningful use within them. My passion is the benefit of the patient. Abstracting data from a complete record to analyze trends in healthcare not only benefits the patient but the entire realm of healthcare as well.
