About Mariah Grover

I am Mariah 'Rye' Grover and I graduated in May 2024 with a double major in Cinematic and Media Arts and Child Studies from Vanderbilt University. I have a passion for outdoor documentary and cinematography and have worked on numerous funded student films fulfilling the roles of DP, Assistant Director, Director, Editor, and Production Assistant. I have worked extensively with people as the Program Director of the Lair of the Golden Bear and consider customer service and interaction one of my passions. I have taught children from the ages of 5 months to 12 years old in settings including the classroom, sports, caretaking, and tutoring. While at Vanderbilt, I was deeply invested in my improv comedy group where we performed for crowds of 300+ students once a month. I was also the co-president of Vanderbilt Wilderness Skills, a club that offers outdoor trips and instruction every weekend around the American Southeast. Beyond those clubs, I am skilled in public speaking, conflict mediation, content and film creation, musical performance, numerous outdoor recreation activities, educational teaching, and leadership.
