About Mariah Hamm

My varied background has allowed me to get experience in vastly different roles that rely on different strengths. At Oberweis, those strengths were: Money Management - making sure money was spent more effectively and drawers were correct Customer service - ensured customer satisfaction with every order People management - keeping the team on task and maintaining comfortable rapport and environment for a better, more collaborative environment At SLU, I have gotten to pull on other strengths: Time management - completing project and experiments in a timely manner to produce two week decrease in time needed to complete three projects Networking/team player - working with lab team members to rely on their individual backgrounds to come up with new strategies to bring us closer to our goals Organization - keeping detailed reports of performed experiments so future researchers can replicate it. I’m also in charge of maintaining inventory and quality of 1,500+ compounds used in drug discovery At bioMérieux, I’ve gotten to perfect these skills: I now manage a team of 6+ on a daily basis and have gotten to strengthen my effectiveness in delegating and maintaining a healthy work environment. I have been described as efficient. I am effective in multitasking and finding the best way to get the most done in the shortest amount of time to optimize hours worked and ensure people have to put in as little overtime as possible. These experiences have given me the ability to overcome a variety of challenges faced in the laboratory so that I can get results despite difficulties thrown my way.
