As a passionate storyteller and consultant for arts and cultural organizations, I focus on building strategic partnerships, securing sponsorships, and obtaining funding. My project management skills ensure that cultural initiatives thrive and create meaningful impacts in our communities. My journey in philanthropy began in high school, where I worked with diverse communities to provide grants for youth-led service projects. This experience equipped me with key leadership and organizational skills, boosting my confidence in addressing community needs and fueling my passion for empowering youth and overlooked communities. Throughout my career, I have maintained a focus on empowering young people and addressing barriers to their opportunities. My past experiences have shown me that when given the right resources, youth are eager to better themselves and their communities. As the Program Coordinator for the Child Center of NY, I developed professional development programs that enabled students to create youth-led community service projects centered on healthy living. This initiative led to a 30% increase in program enrollment and engagement. My ability to anticipate youth needs and leverage partnerships was key to this success. Additionally, I supported staff in executing similar programs and created training sessions focused on student engagement and retention. Recently, I transitioned to consulting for individuals and arts and cultural organizations. As a Partnerships and Sponsorships Lead Consultant for Queer Voices NYC, a film festival dedicated to supporting Queer BIPOC filmmakers, I secured and managed partnerships with NYC non-profit organizations and elected officials. I coordinated tailored professional development workshops and additional programming to support filmmakers in their careers. Serving as the community liaison between the film festival and local leaders, I synthesized information and presented data reports to partners, sponsors, and the executive team, using this data to inform future programming initiatives.
