About Marialena Ahern
I have worked in the mental health field since graduating from Whittier College in 2018 with my B.A. in Psychology. Spending my time as a behavioral therapist doing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with children on the Autism spectrum, to formulating treatment plans with clients while working as a Case Manager for young adults (ages 18-25) diagnosed with various mental disorders and experiencing homelessness. After gaining experience working with different populations and utilizing multiple interventions, I've recently begun my journey toward my M.A. in Clinical Psychology within Pepperdine University's LMFT program. I hope to one day open my own practice where I can offer therapy services to underserved communities, while also combining community youth sports. In my spare time, I also coach for girl's travel softball teams. I grew up playing softball in the Bay Area and went on to play in college at Whittier. I enjoy empowering the next generation of young girls through sports, which helped me gain the confidence and leadership I carry with me today.
