About Mariam Khalid

A recent Graduate from the University of Toronto in Honors Bachelor of Science. Gaining valuable skill sets through E-learning courses including HTML Fundamentals, Introduction to Cloud Identity, Microsoft Office Tricks and Tips, and COVID-19 Contract Tracing. Teaching has always been a part of my learning strategies. All throughout high school and university the best way for me to grasp concepts were by teaching it to others. In the past I have volunteered at different schools including Greenwood elementary school as an after school program tutor. I volunteered at different private schools in which I later found myself working as a part time teacher after gaining extensive experience for teaching different age groups. Moreover, I was always interested in learning about the ways I can help other not just academically also practically. I volunteered at different hospitals including Rouge Valley Hospital as a support for the families whose loved ones were admitted at the hospital. I volunteered at St. Joseph’s hospital as a hand auditor, collecting data to conduct research on how many times each staff cleans their hands before visiting each patient. With my experience in both the Teaching and Healthcare field, I believe that I have a lot more to achieve with the different opportunities that I may be considered for.
