About Mariam Sadik
After graduating in Medical Biochemistry at the University of Surrey (UK), I continued in the research field by doing a Masters in Drug Innovation at Utrecht University (NL). I started my masters by doing a 6 months placement at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (US). After an amazing time at UAB I moved back to The Netherlands and completed my Masters in Drug Innovation. Shortly after I got pregnant with twins and needed some flexibility to be a mother while having a career. This led me to having done a second Masters degree and becoming a pharmacist. Besides my vast interest in research and the pharmaceutical field I am also interested in learning new languages. I am fluent in Arabic, Dutch and English and I am currently studying Japanese. Of course I love spending time with my family and friends. And when I happen to have some time left I like to spend it on my hobbies such as painting/drawing, baking and video editing. To achieve all of this I have to stay fit and healthy. I do this by boxing 3 to 4 times a week.
