About Mariana MacIel

Originally from Brazil, I immigrated to Canada in early 2018, following a rollercoaster of changes. It has been the fulfillment of God's plans in my life. I moved alone with a medical degree, dreams, faith, and a strong determination to achieve my goals. I am now married and a mother of two kids (a boy and a girl). I'm co-founder, CEO and medical director of Thronus Medical. I developed a deep understanding and acceptance of cannabis as medicine through extensive study and witnessing real stories in clinical practice. One of my passions is spreading scientific knowledge through "Thronus Education". As Medical Director, I foster health professional relationships, education, medical materials, scientific support, research, regulatory compliance, and patient care. As CEO, I apply leadership, sales, and visionary skills to drive business operations at a high-performance level. I foster growth through strategic thinking, problem-solving, financial acumen, and informed decisions. What brings me the most pleasure is being able to positively impact people's lives through my work. Leading people to exceptional results has allowed Thronus to more than double in size each year. I firmly believe that building a customer-success-centric organization (where "customer" includes the staff) and strenghening company's culture are key to achieving success.
