About Marianne Downs

As a graduate of both the Bachelor of Business Administration program in the Philippines and the Bachelor of Applied Health Information Science and Health Office Administration programs at Conestoga College, I bring a unique combination of global and local experience to my professional role. Currently, I serve as a Work-Integrated Learning (WIL)/ Co-op Support Officer at Conestoga College, where I am dedicated to delivering proactive, student-centered support to both students and employers. My focus is on providing high-quality customer service—whether in person, by phone, or online—while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the WIL / Co-op ecosystem. I work closely with students, employers, and staff to ensure a smooth and effective co-op and WIL placement process. This includes coordinating placements, managing data, maintaining accurate records, and resolving challenges as they arise. I also support internal collaboration by acting as a liaison between the WIL (Experiential)/Co-op Orbis Portal Coordinator and Field Placement Officers/Employer Relations Consultant/Co-op Advisor. My professional journey began in the Philippines, where I developed strong business operations and client service skills—skills that I’ve successfully transferred and applied to my current role in Canada.
