As a dedicated community organizer at the Center on Race, Poverty & the Environment (CRPE), I mobilize and empower communities of color and low-income communities to advocate for environmental justice and climate solutions. I have played a role in impactful campaigns and initiatives, including the Civilian Climate Corps and the Green New Deal, by crafting speeches, opinion pieces, and strategic communications that amplify marginalized voices. My commitment to social justice and climate action is rooted in both my personal experiences and academic background. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Northridge, where I studied the social and structural roots of inequality and oppression. Additionally, I earned two certificates of achievement from Harvard Extension School – one on the health effects of climate change and another on lessons from the Ebola crisis. These programs deepened my expertise in the intersections of public health, environmental justice, and global challenges, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to drive meaningful change.
