About Marija Vuletic

A translator, community engagement specialist, content writer, pianist, traveler. Being very open and having good communicational skills makes me relaxed and confident in creating a connection with people. I am not afraid to meet new people, talk in public, be a leader of a discussion, give a counterargument when needed, and help everyone who is in need. I am very talkative and open and I have no problems with public speaking. Playing basketball in middle school and being a part of a folklore group taught me to love group work and to live in solidarity, and giving support to my fellows is extremely important to me because a group is only as strong as its weakest link. I am a big fan of participating in new experiences and being in an exchange program in Italy in 2007, and the United States, for a year, in 2011/2012 made me appreciate a variety of different cultures, and learn how to respect every person as a unique human being. I am a Chevening alumnus (2022/2022) and I passionate feminist activist for more than a decade, actively engaged in the NGO sector of the Western Balkan region. I love to collaborate with people and learn something new wherever I can. I enjoy leading projects, regardless of their size. Throughout my volunteer career, I led many different projects, actions, and alike and it was always amazing to see the final result of all the hard work people put into it. Leadership just comes naturally to me, and I do not have a problem with taking initiative and giving 110 percent to create something successful. Nevertheless, working in a group for me is as exciting as leading it, and being a part of many different volunteer opportunities it was always a pleasure to contribute to a project, and know that you were a part of something wonderful and big. I have no problem coordinating big projects too, organizing festivals, competitions, etc. and I find myself skilled at risk management and working under great pressure. I consider myself very creative because all my life I have been a part of artistic, innovative groups- through music school and art classes.
