About Marijan Ivkovic

I am a chemical engineer with experience in the field of fuel cells. During my studies at the Munich University of Applied Sciences I worked as a university student assistant and as a tutor in electrochemistry and physical chemistry. During my internship at BMW AG I worked in the MEA production, in addition to developing, setting up and implementing methods for quality control, I also carried out failure analysis. My Bachelor Thesis was also in the field of Fuel Cells. In the course of my thesis I developed a method for pinholes and short circuits in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC). Presently I am working at the Freudenberg Fuel Cell e-Power Systems GmbH as a Development Engineer for components of the membrane electrode assembly (MEA). In addition to optimizing the manufacture of catalyst inks and electrode layers on a laboratory scale. I also deal with Upscaling processes, the administration and procurement of laboratory equipment and infrastructure issues in the laboratory. In 2024, I successfully completed my master's degree in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen. My master's thesis, conducted at Freudenberg e-Power Systems, focused on the optimization of the stability, composition, and mixing process of catalyst-containing cathode ink for PEM fuel cells.
