Background
About Marika Grasso
At the intersection of art, design, and mental health, my role as an Associate Lecturer and P.h.D Candidate at Sheffield Hallam University has been instrumental in advancing the exploration of conductive materials and their impact on the human condition. With a focus on tactile perception, my research not only contributes to academic knowledge but also aims to foster well-being through sensory engagement. Equipped with a palette of skills including photography and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, my teaching at Sheffield Hallam and Istituto Marangoni is infused with real-world insights from my investigative work. Our team's commitment to material culture and its context is reflected in carefully curated design exhibitions that resonate with diverse audiences, emphasizing the therapeutic potential of design.
