About Marika Immonen

I'm Viking Line's Head of Customer Experience in Finland specializing in developing the Customer Experience both ashore and on board. Working for an always better customer experience is what gets me inspired and during my Master's degree studies it became clear to me, that it's the area I want to focus on in my career. I'm happy to get the opportunity to execute this in my current role. I'm an experienced travel industry expert with an extensive background of working in sales and customer service (both B2B and B2C) as well as product development. My background in sales and customer service has given me an excellent insight how to maintain the customer orientation always in mind and as a project coordinator I gained a good insight about product development. I'm an ace at managing several projects simultaneously and a great team player to have by your side. I have a can-do attitude and the spirit to bring it whether it regards my job or something in my free time. I have a Master’s degree from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences of the Degree Programme in Service Business Management and Development, specializing in Experience Economy and Designing Services (among other things Service Design). I believe in lifelong learning and I’m keen in evolving my professional skills and keeping them updated. I'm a lively person and in my free time I like to challenge myself in different kind of sports and other new experiences. I love to spend time with friends and family and you'll rather find me outdoors than being a couch potato.
