My sales and marketing background includes being the Marketing Manager and top Senior Sales Consultant for Marlin Travel which included developing and managing various cross promotions with local business’, marketing campaigns with preferred suppliers, plan consumer product and sales events, increase overall sales and deliver high quality customer service, create comprehensive business development plans, action plans including market analysis, sales strategies and marketing activities resulting in increased sales; utilize training and communication tools to enhance the product positioning in our retail agencies. My product contracting/negotiation skills include contracting hotels in the Caribbean, Hawaii and South America for Sunquest and Holiday House. In addition, I was responsible for negotiating marketing campaigns, co-op funds and budgets with hoteliers and tourist boards, manage supplier marketing funds; invoice suppliers and receive payment for all marketing initiatives; oversee the print & online advertisement, including in-flight magazine and groups brochure, yearly planning of the company Supplier Gala Dinner and BIG 4 Product Launches. Other strengths include fluency in English, Spanish, Italian, and a comprehension of the French language. Furthermore, I have strong presentation and computer skills, a willingness to learn, and an eagerness to meet new challenges and set new goals. I was employed as the Product and Marketing Manager for the Cruise Division of Thomas Cook Canada, where I represented 3 Thomas Cook brands, and 14 cruise lines. In my role, I was involved with sales, customer service, group contracting and training. It was a fast paced, changing environment, and I thoroughly enjoyed adapting to the new challenges I faced on a daily basis. Currently I'm employed with Carnival Cruise Line as a Business Development Director, overseeing all of Canada, including Tour Operator partners & national accounts.
